Magical properties have been attributed to ferns for centuries. It is one of the oldest plants that is common all over the world. It grows in shady deciduous and mixed forests on moist, humus soils. It is a perennial plant. For this reason, the fern is perceived as a mediating plant - located on the border of "worlds". For centuries, birch has been considered a sacred tree and a symbol of life, health, goodness and femininity. Why the symbol of health and strength, of course, is due to the fact that the pro-health properties of birch sap have been known for a long time. But why femininity? There are two stories related to this; The Germanic peoples considered the Birch a symbol of feminine strength. The soothsayers recommended that women often hug the birch trunk to ask the tree to send them the grace of motherhood, and those who were pregnant prayed for a light solution. In Slavic culture, Brzoza was associated with devotion to Mother Earth, Mokosza. Both oak and birch are trees strongly associated with Slavic gender symbolism. It was claimed that a man should be like an oak tree - strong and unyielding, while a woman was expected to be delicate, typical of birch trees.
